Joachim Standfest (born May 30, 1980) is an Austrian footballer who currently plays as a midfielder / defender for FK Austria Wien in the Austrian Bundesliga. He has played 26 times for Austria
A versatile, industrious player capable of doing the coach’s bidding on the right-side of midfield, more centrally or at right-back. Standfest boasts a great engine and pushes forward with zeal. He has been a full international since 2003 and should start this summer.
Standfest’s professional career took off at Grazer AK, where he played a vital role in the conquest of the Austrian League title in 2004. In January 2007 he moved to the capital to star for Austria Vienna.
